There has been much confusion over when we might start to see the SIM free version of the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD. The release date from the likes of Play.com was recently delayed by a month to the dismay of many. Now, curiously, I’ve come across an article that suggests that the SIM free version has been launched in the UK.
Now there’s no source to back this up and no indication as to where this can be bought from. Play.com and Expansys are still listing this for a June 25 release. Whether it is a mistake or not is unknown. The article only appeared in the early hours this morning, so maybe SIM free units will appear early next week? Regardless, we’ll keep you updated with any further developments.

Not sure how accurate the date is or how good the site is though as not ordered from them before.
Well given that Pixmania say that it “comes with Windows Mobile 6.1″ I wouldn’t trust their information to be wholey accurate.

I asked them where are the sim free ones, and the reply
“Unfortunately, it seems the retailer that launched the SIM free Samsung i8910 just yesterday has already gone out of stock, it was Pixmania that listed the phone. Hopefully it will be back in stock next week.”
and like the above comment says, there earliest they will get them is the 12th june
I personal I’m going to wait for Play.com and hope that they do decide to start shipping them early.
