Because from the pics posted here it just seems that they have been updated on Lab.dev to the firmware that should also be preinstalled on most of the SIM-free models and nothing else. (They first had a firmware from February) The first picture here was taken from Lab.dev I suppose. (look at the white borders left and right and at the colours of the Options and Exit button. It looks exactly like the compression used in Lab.dev) Can someone with an open I8910 try that?

You have to install the PC Suite to get hold of it, but many Orange users are reporting that it doesn't work (probably as it's only for unbranded phones).
