Slowly but surely, the sim-free version of the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD is making its way across Europe. It has already appeared in Italy, the Netherlands and now it looks like it is shipping in Germany. gethandy.de has the Samsung i8910 HD in stock and shipping immediately for €545.
It does seem that the phone is selling for cheaper in mainland Europe, than it will in the UK. Some Italian shops are even selling it for as low as €499. In the UK, the cheapest is £489.99 from UnlockedMobiles.com who has a delivery date of 8th June. Let’s hope there’s not too long to wait in other regions too.

As for the unboxing pictures, I’m hoping to get mine soon, but it might take a while, since I’m getting it with contract extension and the shop doesn’t have it yet, but it says 1-3 days. I will let you know when I get mine.
Sorry, bad news – the shop does not ship outside from Germany – I just called them, they not even ship to Austria…
unlocked-mobiles.com are supposed to have stock today however its still showing out of stock on their website and they do not seem to be answering their phone
I’ve emailed UnlockedMobiles twice in the last 2 weeks and never got a reply and even rang them and the phone doesn’t answer.. Given there info page on the phone is wrong.. as much as i want to im trying to resist and wait for Play.

unlocked-mobiles.com have now changed their expected date of stock to 29/06/09. I tried getting through to them but couldn’t. It is the correct number as I talked to them last week. Play.com initially stated they would have the phone on 25/05/09 then changed this to 25/06/09, I am too wary about ordering from play.com due to a bad experience and they tend to be very slow on delivery. If anything goes wrong and you do not receive your delivery from Play.com they will not do anything until 21 days has passed, so read terms and conditions first. You may wanna find blogs to read about Play.com customer service. Pixmania.com stock is due 12/06/09 fingers crossed. Only Expansy have stated they will have phone from 25/06/09 and stuck to that date all other retailers seem to be guessing or their wholesalers seem to be lying to them all?

I understand that the phone seems to be popping up in European countries. But do you all have any idea when it’ll come over to Asia? I’ve been trying to find out but there just doesn’t seem to be any available information on any launch date in my country Singapore, or whether the phone is even coming to Singapore.

chris checked out your website and the phone will not be available for a week. As for the winmo 6.1 on pixmania, I think we all know thats an error and the spec states symbian anyway. Not really a good reason not to order JME2712. Retailers have different weights for this phone, some say 148g, some say 149, some say 150g. You wouldn’t say I’m not gonna buy it because of the descrepancy in weight would you?
I saw it, they just changed it again. But there are several other stores that have it in stock. Click on my name and you will se a list. If it says “sofort lieferbar” or “lagernd” that means they have it in stock. You’ll have to find out if they ship outside of germany though.

I am very weary in where my money is going. If the website can’t get one of the main details right I will question their legitimacy. To import this phone to the USA would not be cheap and I want a reseller who knows what they are selling. Just my opinion no hate intended.

Pixmania is one of the biggest online retailers in europe. They trade in at least 20 european countries so your money is safe. They even give you the option to pay by paypal. I just placed an order and apparently I am 23rd on the pre-order list. The operator was not sure I would get a phone if it did comes in on Friday 12 June because of the number of pre orders. But she did assure me cancelling the order and getting my money back will take a couple of days and they take the money out of your account 2 days after an order is place. So if I do not get a phone shipped out on the 12 June I’ll cancel it on Monday as they are closed at weekends.
