16GB i8910 Omnia HDWhen the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD was originally released, it was due to come in two SKUs, one with 8GB of internal storage and another with 16GB. Whilst the phone has seen its sim-free release across parts of Europe and on contract in the UK through Orange, the only version that has appeared is the 8GB. This was starting to beg the question whether the 16GB version was even still on the agenda.

However, it appears that the 16GB SKU is very much of part of Samsung’s plans and has been released across Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, and Denmark). It seems that you will ONLY find the 16GB SKU in these countries, as the 8GB version is not being sold. The cost is 6,695 Norwegian Kroner at Komplett, which is shipping right now and translates to around £635, €750 or $1,050. Click through for an unboxing video of the 16GB i8910 Omnia HD.

Update: The 16GB version has also hit the Netherlands, where the 8GB is already sold. Maybe we will start to see this SKU appear in more regions after all. Thanks Quindor!

Thanks Tulip and warpfive!

I bought my i8910 yesterday and the shops also had the 16GB version. Opted for the 8GB because I don’t really need the 16GB and if I ever need more, I’ll add an SD card. So here in The Netherlands, the 16GB has been released.

Have you been able to get any more information from Samsung about the release date for the I8910 HD in the United States or when you will be getting your phone for the Ambassador Program?

At the launch of the i8910 HD 8 GB a store in the Netherlands accedentally sold the 16 gig model instead of the 8 gig one xD

  8. Quindor says:

Yes, that is true. But now, both can be bought in the store I went too (GSM-Fan in Enschede). They have both in stock.

Still looks as though it won’t be available for a while in the U.K sim free. I went to 4 phone shops today and they had no clue when it was going to be released, the girls at Tmobile(gravesend) had never even heard of the phone! LOL
