I used to think they were over priced for just a simple screen protector – same as the cheapo packs available online, ebay and at market stalls.. But they are far superior. The type of material used is far better and I have found on my last two phones that it really is worth pay for the difference. The other’s are just slightly better than the protective film you get with handsets. I have found you can notice the difference better when you are using a touch screen, as it’s less prone to fingerprinty smudges. I’d definitely recommend trying one, especially if you have a touch screen phone.

not worth it when you can get a pack of 6 for £3.50 on ebay
