For those thinking of getting an additional battery for your Samsung i8910 HD, it may be a good time to look at some extended batteries from trusted third-party battery manufacturer, Mugen Power. They have two extended batteries on sale for the i8910, one with 1550mAh capacity and another with a whopping 3100mAh capacity. As the i8910 comes with a 1500mAh battery, both offer an improvement over the default offering.
For those looking at the 3100mAh battery though, it’s worth noting that given the size, Mugen Power provides a new back cover for the phone. This means your standard i8910 will be chunkier than normal with this battery. The sleek looks will inevitably be spoiled, but it seems like a great option for those who do a lot of travelling. Both batteries are in stock from the Mugen Power website right now. The 1550mAh battery will set you back $29.95, whilst the larger 3100mAh battery costs $96.95.

As the name suggests, the Desk Genie is a mobile phone holder that charges pretty much any mobile phone out there whilst also acting as a two-port USB hub and 8-in-1 card reader. It comes with a non-slip surface that holds your phone in one place.
MobileFun, a specialist retailer of mobile accessories, kindly sent over the Desk Genie for us to review. The device costs £14.99. MobileFun applies a small delivery charge on top of this depending on whether shipping is to the UK or mainland Europe. Click through to read our impressions of this charging desk stand. As is hinted by the name, the device also comes with a multi-point connection, allowing you to connect two mobiles.

The Samsung i8910 Omnia HD is one of the best handsets I’ve used for GPS navigation. We all know how wonderful the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD’s 3.7-inch OLED display is, combine this with a sensitive capacitive touchscreen and fast GPS lock and you have an ideal device for car journeys.
However, there is one caveat and that is battery life. Using Garmin on my i8910 is the quickest way to drain the battery. I’ve been looking for a solution for a while and luckily, help was at hand. MobileFun, a specialist retailer of mobile accessories, kindly sent over the DriveSafe Car Kit for the Samsung i8910 HD. This kit not only includes a holder for the handset, but also a charger too – not bad for only £12.95 + P&P. Read the rest of this entry »
